Hello, my name is Lindsey Cooper and I teach Maples’ Class on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I have been teaching for 17 years with an English Subject Specialism and have taught at St Paul’s for the last eight years across a variety of age ranges. I live in the Valley with my husband and three children and in my spare time I enjoy reading and getting out in the fresh air!
Hello, My name is Danielle Todd and I currently teach in the Maples class on Thursday and Fridays. I have been teaching for 9 years. I live locally, in Burnley, with my family and dalmatian. In my spare time I enjoy playing rugby and going on adventures with my two children.
In RE we have been learning about the Eucharist. Reverend Chris came in to speak to us about the Christian service and what it entails.
We have loved looking at all of the amazing homework you have brought in about the Romans. A well done goes to Lucy and her fantastic homework that she created.
Well done to all of the Maples class.
On Thursday it was our class assembly, all about the Romans. We learnt facts, performed role plays and much more.
The children enjoyed discussing our PE lessons where we have been learning different Roman games and we have been sharing a story that was set in the Roman Era.
On Wednesday the Maples class went down to forest school. WE were looking at our topic work and we were attempting to create volcanoes! We used plastic tubes and bottles to create the vent which the magma would pass through. A mixture of vinegar and bicarbonate of soda was added to create the explosion.
As you can see ….. we had LOTS of fun!
Have a look at the pictures below from our class trip.
