This week Acorns have been on a Gruffalo hunt. The children searched high and low, they found Mouse, Owl, Snake and Fox but they couldn’t find the Gruafflo.

The children thought it would be a good idea to make a Gruffalo out of clay and sticks to show Mrs Smith what the Gruffalo looked like.

After they children had finished they had one last look and found the Gruffalo cooking an acorn on the fire.

Starfish class have been exploring in the forest school searching for minibeast and their habitats. They have also been extremely busy planting broad beans, sunflower seeds, peas and looking at what plants need to grow. The children have been busy little bees exploring the forest school for spring plants and new growth we spotted, Blue Bells, Daffodils, Apple Blossom and Garlic. All the children had a turn on the slide, it was a little scary for some of the children at first, but after a turn sat on Mrs Smith’s Knee they soon wanted a turn all by themselves. The children have been helping “Pip” the forest school fairy after the rain and wind destroyed all the fairy houses. Starfish class did a fantastic job making sure the fairies had everything they needed by building new houses and included thing like kitchens, bathrooms, living rooms and some even had a swimming pool and a zip line for quick access. Well done starfish you did a super job and Pip said “Thank you all very much all the fairies are very happy with their new homes!”   Have a look at what we have been doing.
