The children found wrapping the wool and pulling it tight was very tricky, but with a little help from each other all the children came back to school with a Christmas decoration.

The Turtles have been very busy in our forest school, sowing seeds in the Butterfly and Bee house that have now grown into plants which are attracting the bees and butterflies into our forest school.

The children have looked at onion bulbs and potato seeds and then planted the potato seeds into potato sacks. We are watching carefully to see how they grow.

The children have also looked at the various parts of plants and made pictures from natural resources, they looked amazing.

On our latest trip to forest school, Turtles planted sunflower and pea seeds into pots. We are waiting for them to get tall enough to plant in our vegetable patch and around our infant playground. We’re having a competition to see who can grow the tallest sunflower.

The turtles are amazed how big the sunflowers have grown already, so we have started to plant them around school in pots and around the playground we are hoping the snails and slugs will leave them alone and they will grow nice and tall.

Have a look at what we have been doing.
