Marvellous Maples have been studying the topic – ‘How Humans Work’ this half term. We were very lucky to have an ambulance and a team of paramedics visit school to train the children in ‘Heartstart’, which is a first aid programme for children and teaches them how to help themselves and others in an emergency. They were also able to have a close look inside the ambulance and at all the specialist equipment and of course were able to have go with the lights and sirens!
